Working Women Artists:

  • Provides opportunities for women artists to meet, to share their work, processes and philosophies and to interact with mentors, peers and protégès for mutual support and encouragement of artistic growth.
  • Shares information and resources for promoting the development of artistic competence and careers.
  • Engages in activities such as exhibitions, sales and informational programs to gain recognition for members as individual artists and as a group.
  • Creates opportunities for women artists in general, including girls and women art students.
  • Honors diversity, including differences of race, ethnicity, age, financial status, ability, spiritual orientation and sexual orientation. WWA opposes oppression and prejudicial attitudes and promotes learning from diversity to enrich our lives as women and as artists.
